AQUAGEN – hinter diesem Namen steht eine außergewöhnliche Erfolgsstory:
Mit der Debut-Single IHR SEID SO LEISE im Jahre 1999 und dem Nachfolger PARTYALARM (2000) brachten AQUAGEN deutschsprachigen Techno an die Spitzen der Charts und mit der Neu-Interpretation des Pop-Klassikers HARD TO SAY I’M SORRY (2002) bewiesen sie, dass auch CHICAGO clubtauglich sind.
Mit der 303-Club-Hymne PHATT BASS gab es weltweit ordentlich Bass in den Hitligen und seit den Hits EVERYBODY’S FREE (2002) in Zusammenarbeit mit ROZALLA, TANZ FÜR MICH (2000) mit dem Comedian INGO APPELT, GIRL (UHH UHH YEAH YEAH) (2004) und The Pipes Are Calling (2006) ist klar:

Nach zwei Alben - ABGEHFAKTOR und WEEKENDER (2000 / 2002) - und einer kleinen Verschnaufpause melden sich AQUAGEN jetzt lautstark wieder zurück: Nach dem großem Erfolg im Jahr 2000 in der ganzen Welt mit „Blade (Phatt Bass)“ gab es 2008 eine Neuauflage des Klassikers.
Zusammen mit dem Schweden Ali Payami bringen "Aquagen & Warp Brothers" den Klassiker in ein zeitgemäßes Gewand zurück auf alle Floor’s dieser Welt. “Blade“ erreichte Platz 1 in allen Dance-Charts in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz und stieg in die Media-Control Charts ein.
„Hard To Say I’m Sorry“ 2K9 war der Einstieg ins Jahr 2009. Wie auch schon 2002 eroberte die 2K9-Version wieder die Pool Position aller Dance Charts. Darauf folgte das Very Best Of Album „So Far So Good“.10 Jahre Aquagen und die ganzen Hits auf einer CD. Und das war erst der Anfang vom neuen Album.
Man kann jetzt schon gespannt sein, was Gino „Aquagen“ diesmal an Überraschungen mitbringt! Die neue Single „Ihr Seid So Leise! 2011 (scheisse, scheisse leise)“ wurde im August 2011 veröffentlicht.

After their two longplayers ABGEHFAKTOR and WEEKENDER, AQUAGEN took a short break and now they hit the road once more – to loud to ignore: “Blade” (2008) together with Ali Payami and The Warp Brothers, reached the pole position in the dance charts within the shortest time and is taking over the hitlists now.
The last Single “Hard To Say I’m Sorry 09” was released In Feb 2009. “Hard To Say I’m sorry 2K9” is also a Single of the Best Of Album “So Far So Good” that also was released in Feb. 2009.
2010 Once again AQUAGEN provide us with their overwhelming sounds, which they are loved for all over the planet – a absolutly perfect to Start into the New Year. You can be sure this tune will catch you! GINO MONTESANO is the face of AQUAGEN. He is a dj and producer with Italian roots, born in Germany. He does not only bring his own Italian charm into the productions, but also in the dj sets. Meanwhile GINO is touring as a dj all over the world. Gigs in South Africa, Russia, Poland, Austria, Scandinavia, Spain, Canada or America are daily routine like spinning the records in his home country.
